databases at WillardStudents are able to access informational tools and databases here at Willard including BrainPop, BrainPop, Jr., PebbleGo, PebbleGo Next, and World Book Online. Although students cannot access many of these databases at home, the River Forest Public Library has access to several databases for children that only require a public library card.
BrainPop is an online learning tool that students can use to learn topics within Science, Math, Social Studies, English/Language Arts, Technology, Engineering, and more. BrainPop, created for students in 3rd through 8th grade, as well as BrainPop, Jr., designed for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, uses engaging animated movies, interactive quizzes, games, concept mapping, and primary source activities all of which are searchable with an online Standards Tool. World Book Online is an online encyclopedia with kid-friendly text and features. World Book offers four databases for students to search at their own level and for their own interests. All in-district devices can access World Book Online without a username or password. PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next bring searching for information about animals, people, science topics, social studies, American Indians, the states, and more to a new level.
